Can I Wear Normal Clothes To My Session?
A question I got the other day from someone was,
“can I just wear normal clothes to my session?”
My answer is yes. But there's a caveat. If you are looking to do this for body confidence reasons, and let's say for example, you don't like your tummy. Now if you rocked up wearing a big old baggy jumper dress, and you were like, right, I wanna learn to love my rolls, man.
I'm gonna be like, well how are you gonna love them without showing them? How do we get you to see how beautiful your rolls can be if you are hiding them? Do you see where I'm going with this?
So I think you can wear whatever you want as long as you're challenging the reason why you're doing it, or as in challenging yourself in line with the reason why you're doing it. So again, if you are like, I wanna learn to find my sensuality a bit more, I wanna feel good in myself, then go out and wear something that aligns itself with who you wanna be represented as, as far as a sensual being, and make sure it feels good on your skin. And that could be anything you like.
I've had shoots of people wearing Doc-Martins and nothing else. I've had shoots of people wearing feathers in their hair.
I've had tutus,
I've seen it all.
The goal is for you to feel represented.
There is no style list, there is no script.
You do not need to follow what everyone else has been wearing on their shoot. This is all about you!
So yes, you can wear normal clothes if you want to, as long as you are feeling represented and you are doing it for the right reasons. There's my answer. All right.
